Texas Dow Employee Credit Union was chartered in 1954 and began doing business in 1955. Though they had modest beginnings (their “office” was a file cabinet in a drawer at Franklin Insurance Agency), they quickly became successful. Today, they are one of the largest Texas financial institutions. They have over $1 billion in assets and more than 93,000 members.
Texas Dow Employee Credit Union serves employees and retirees of Dow Chemical Company Texas Operations, plus many other companies.
